Although it sounds like you found a way to work around the problem, I have noticed a significant decline in PayPal service and support. And the problems I have are extended to Venmo, which is owned by PayPal. Secured and reliable Fintech (financial technology) has come a long way in the last five years. The problems we experience with Paypal, I assume are tied to how up to date they are with their systems and processing partners.
