Did You Know That Dead Writers Have Bad Eyesight?
It affects their writing
Dead writers have trouble with their eyesight. They only see what they want. But they inspire others to write about what they think.
It’s a nice twist to life beyond the shelves of a bookstore.
I used to think that the spirits of Vonnegut, Updike, and Heller would linger forever. But then I found out they don’t give a shit. They're hanging out in The Blue Bar of Heaven in ultimate retirement. And relinquished their twisted thinking to the philosophies of the living.
The other night I was lying in bed. The room was dark, and the air cool. I woke up in a cold sweat, wondering what my wife was doing. She died a few years ago. A mysterious vision gave me the answer.
She was having a drink with Kurt Vonnegut.
How strange, I thought. I’m the guy that enjoyed Kurt Vonnegut; all she did was read romance and science fiction.
I’m not upset with her. We have an open death relationship; she knows she’s free to do anything. At least that’s what the Pastor told us. “Till death do us part.” And remarkably, death did us part.
Nobody has fully explained what should happen after death, although Kurt Vonnegut provides some food for thought.
