Great article and I'm there with you. I buy all my laptops through a refurbisher who buys lots from school district resellers. Pennies on the dollar for old, but solid machines. Thirty day replacement with no questions. After that I'm on my own for repairs. Mostly bios batteries, power supplies and an occasional HDD. I buy one or two a year. It's fun.
