I Am Not Looking Back at 2021 With a Remember The Year Article
Not sure there's anything good about the past 12 months
Today is December 29, 2021. The year is fading quickly; the world anxiously awaits the hand-off to 2022 on New Year's Eve.
Here's what happens in the media around now.
Articles of reflection begin showing up. Podcasts and broadcast reports about everything over the last twelve months are more frequent. Listicles are written about politicians, movie stars, and musicians that died. Great things, bad things, disturbing things are all reported as if we need to be reminded of the perils 2021 provided.
I'm a positive guy. I really am. I have the mental ability to find value in almost everything. I look for lessons to be learned from both negative and positive situations.
However, I am hard-pressed to reflect on the last twelve months and find anything so unique and upbeat that it's worth writing about.
The year was one confusing chapter after another. Our political world started wrong with the January 6 Capital situation. Counting the immigration crises, the Afghanistan surrender, the voting rights bill, the great divide between Vaxers and Anti-Vaxers, many people are tired and want to move on.
