I think it's the long term trend analysis that matters the most. While not very comprehensive, like Google Analytics or some other utilities, there are still nuggets of information that can help guide us. But then again there are so many variables we don't know about the algorithm, which devalues the importance of statistics. The data science is more complicated then many people realize.
