I Used to Have a Dog Named Daisy, so I had to Watch Daisy Jones & The Six

I didn’t realize the connection to Elvis till the end of the third episode

I spontaneously clicked on the Daisy & The Six mini-series one night. One eye was open, the other closed.

Knowing I would be asleep in ten minutes, I didn’t want to watch anything too serious. It turns out my initial thoughts about Daisy & The Six were wrong. It is a great series. I was blown away.

Because I tend to fall asleep while watching tv, I don’t tackle anything too serious at night. If I want to watch something good, I’ll make it a point to wake up earlier than usual and watch it first thing in the morning. It’s the reason I keep The Partridge Family in my favorites because it’s goofy, easy on the brain, and there is no violence. It’s a show guaranteed to put me asleep.

When it first came out in 1970, I was enthralled with Susan Dey, who played the role of Lauri Partridge. She was the wholesome girl of my dreams. I had a picture of her on my wall, next to a Jane Fonda poster of Barbarella as Queen of the Galaxy and Farah Fawcett with her hot body and toothy smile.
