It Was Informative, But Not Good
Watch it at your convenience — Bezos: The Beginning
It was bad, but I prevailed and watched the whole thing.
The movie was Bezos: The Beginning. The story of the birth of Amazon.com.
I am a big fan of Amazon. Right or wrong, good or bad, it doesn’t matter. I’m drawn to their convenience, selection, references, and customer content.
I like their business model, how they’ve developed Amazon Web Services as a cloud provider for commercial customers, their return policies, movie library and music. To me it’s the ultimate website that provides 90% of everything I need to sustain and entertain myself.
But I’m not exclusive to the site. I also shop on eBay, Walmart online and the occasional direct website to a manufacturer, food group or reseller. But I always start with Amazon.
I know some people who are adamant in their negative feelings about the company. And that’s fine, I have had some minor complaints, but nothing that prevents me from continuing to use them.
But I’m not sure how much of a fan I am of Jeff Bezos, the founder.
When I realized there was a biography about him, I was quick to watch it.
