Jeff - I had a Journalism instructor that was the same. He was right out of the movies. A seasoned newspaper editor, cigarette hanging out of his month, smelled of whiskey all the time. His fingers were leathery and calloused from 40 years of typing. But he knew how to put news together. Looking back it was an incredible experience meeting him.
