The two shows are loosely connected in a twisted way
It happens all the time; actors appear in multiple streaming series. But this rarely occurs at the same time. When it happens, there is usually a complete shift in the personalities and costuming. Enough to cause viewers to think that they recognize someone but aren’t quite sure.
I recently discovered that two shows I’m watching had interchanged some actors. The first is The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, available on Amazon Prime, and the second is Succession, currently running on HBO.
As I watched the season opener for Mrs. Maisel, I began noticing similarities between a supporting actress and one who frequently appears in Succession. Quickly researching the cast listing on IMDB, I was right. I’ll never know why connecting the dots took nearly four years. But now that I am aware, the similarities are undeniable. One actress is playing similar roles on both shows. And the shows are as opposite as one can imagine.
And then I discovered there were two crossover actors.
