My daughter and her kids had to move in with me. The kids were on free lunch when the schools got closed for Covid. The district didn't know what to do with the perishable items, so they continued the program with an open drive-through plan. For a few weeks, my daughter would mask up and drive through the line and was given a fair share of premade lunches. It was a big help. The remarkable thing is while she was in line, she noticed the number of Mercedes, BMWs, Lexus, and Tesla's—people who were well off but couldn't pass up on the offer of free bologna sandwiches.
