One of my favorite musicals - Fiddler on the Roof. Going back to my childhood when we took two week long family vacations, it was the same. My mother would be cleaning and straightening things until my dad had enough and loaded us in the station wagon. Her reasoning was simple. She wanted us to come home to a clean house.
