Thirty years ago, I thought nothing of scampering up a ladder, with an ax tied to my belt, and a firehose slung over my shoulder. I was a volunteer fireman and we worked our ladders in pairs and triples. There was no such thing as fear, only caution and safety as we worked to save lives and contain damage. It was a very dangerous environment, luckily we never had an accident. Today as I push 70, I work hard to stay out of harms way. Good story Ace! Thanks for sharing. LJB
